NELIG Fall Program 2019 Registration

Register for the Fall Program here. 

Presentations will explore teaching Gen Z students and will cover any of the following topics:

  • Demographics and characteristics of Generation Z
  • Library programs and services tailored to Generation Z patrons
  • Instructional strategies for engaging Generation Z in the classroom
  • Instructional strategies for first year students
  • K - 12 library instruction and what topics are covered
  • Gen Z students and their learning styles
  • Instruction that addresses social anxieties and empathy for students
  • Student engagement in the classroom
  • Strategies to connecting to new students

Presentations should run 45 minutes with 15 minutes for questions. We are looking for individual, group, or panel presentations by librarians and/or their collaborative colleagues. Interactive workshops involving computers/devices and hands-on activities are welcome.

NELIG encourages librarians with any amount of experience to submit a proposal, and we are dedicated to providing opportunities for librarians to learn practical ideas from one another. Please feel free to email us if you have any questions about presenting.

 Presenters will receive a stipend and travel expenses will be reimbursed.

 200-word proposals are due by Friday, September 20, 2019 and should be sent to acrlnelig@gmail.com.

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by Friday, September 27, 2019.
