The ACRL New England Chapter is now accepting nominations for open positions on the Chapter Board, and we would love for you to join us!
ACRL New England is an all-volunteer organization that provides professional growth opportunities for academic research library staff and library students. If you want to help support programming, the dissemination of educational information, and exchange of ideas amongst your colleagues in the New England region, then check it out! There are many ways to get involved.
Benefits of involvement in the ACRL New England Chapter Board include opportunities to share experiences and network with colleagues, enhance leadership abilities, develop new expertise, and help to change the landscape of academic librarianship in New England. There are currently many ways to get involved.

Current Volunteer Opportunities - Learn from those who have held the position(s)! If you see something you are interested in pursuing, or know a colleague who might be interested, complete a nomination form.
We are currently accepting nominations for the following positions:
- Vice President/President-Elect (three-year term)
- State Rep for Connecticut (two-year term)
- State Rep for Massachusetts (two-year term)
- State Rep for New Hampshire (two-year term)
How Does This Work?
Nomination Form - Nominate yourself or someone else! Once someone is nominated for a position (self or other), the Nomination Committee will reach out and ask them to submit a headshot and a candidate statement (if nominating someone else). Once the nomination period has closed, all candidate information will be posted to the ACRL New England site during the voting period.
The nomination period for ACRL New England Board positions will close on Friday, May 14. Elections will be held May 15 - May 22. Position recipients will be notified during the Chapter’s Annual Business meeting, to be held on May 24, 2021
