ACRL/NEC is looking for volunteers for the following activities:

2020 Annual Conference Planning Committee

This conference will be a two-day event (May 26-27) at the Rhode Island Convention Center and the first joint conference between ACRL/NEC and NELIG.  If you LOVE conference planning, or even if you have NEVER done conference planning yet feel compelled to try it, please contact Kari Mofford, President-Elect/Vice President. (kmofford@umassd.edu).  

Site Planning Committee (SPC)

The SPC works to determine a site for the conference that will be held approximately 1 year and 10 months from the time it begins its work. This year, we will be focusing our search in Connecticut for the 2021 Annual Conference. Meetings will most likely be virtual, with the exception of Site Visits. Work will begin in late August or early September. Site visits will take place in late November or early December.

This committee is looking for 3-5 volunteers, including at least one person local to Connecticut venues and willing to serve on the CPC during the following year.

New England Library Instruction Group (NELIG) Annual Conference Planning Committee

NELIG is looking for volunteers to help plan the 2020 NELIG Annual Conference. It will be held May 26th at the Convention Center in Providence, RI. Roles needed include volunteer coordinator, graphic designer, site coordinator, registration, etc. This is the first joint conference between ACRL/NEC and NELIG and an exciting time to get involved!
